THE REUNION DATE HAS BEEN CONFIRMED
As you would have seen on the 'home' page, we have managed to secure the date and venue for the reunion.
On Friday the 9th of October, the school has invited all 89'ERS to attend the morning assembly. This will not include family and kids (limited space). The plan is for the group to be introduced to the school kids where one or two of us might make a speach about life after school.
After the assembly, Mr. Brink will take us on a short tour of the school as a 'trip down memory lane' as well as to show us the changes that have taken place over the last 20 years.
On Saturday the 10th of October, I have booked the schools new 'lapa' which can accomodate a few hundred people. We will be arranging a braai and general social party. This should start at about 14:00, but more details still to follow. This function is for the whole family because we will have full use of the school facilities.
Other activities have not been arranged yet, but I am open to suggestions. Some folks have asked for a golf day, and others have requested activities for smaller groups. Anything is possible, and I encourage you to make the most of the time.
The main point is that there are still several 89'ers that have not been in contact with us, so I urge everyone to do their best in notifying as many of them as possible. The more people we can get to attend this function the more enjoyable it will be.
Another point is that there several of our 1989 teachers will also be attending. This should make for some real interesting stories.
Anyway, keep checking in for updates, and please continue to put the word out to those who have not yet enlisted.
Go here to see the full list of 89 martics. The names in blue have joined up - all the others have not!
Drop me a mail with suggestions or other information. I am really looking forward to it.
Cheers for now
Andre
