Private Life:

Hobbies:
Cooking (‘twas a profession for a year but prefer to keep it a hobby…cooking professionally takes all the fun out of it)
Rock climbing
Nature & wildlife (including photography but that’s part work, party hobby)
Interesting Travel:
Vietnam (twice…third time in December 2008…a magnificent country that I would love to move to if I could find work there)
Cambodia (ditto)
Russia (love the caviar and vodka but hate the cold)
Iran (too chauvinistic and dictatorial for my taste but amazing history and archaeology…fascinating)
Morocco (gotta love the hash!)
Japan (too busy and over-populated but the world’s greatest food…sorry Frenchies)
Indonesia (need to go again for a longer time)
New Zealand (I loved it but I think that’s got a lot to do with Peter Jackson and Lord of the Rings)
Australia (too many bloody South Africans…including my brother which is why I visited…not much else to recommend it)
Canada (amazing scenery and wide-open spaces, a touch chilly though)
USA (Alaska; Seattle; Los Angeles – was a guest at the 2000 Grammy Awards; New York; Miami; New Orleans)
