SNAP SHOT – Keith Marshall

After School:

Spent ½ year working for my Dad, 4 ½ years at Club Motors BMW (Mechanic and Auto Electrician), got tired of that and flew to Miami. Landed a job with an Indy Car racing team for the season and got to travel around the US, did this for 2 years. I returned at the end of each year for weddings and the SA motorsport season. I built race cars for BMW Motorsport and Opel Motorsport. Started the immigration process in 1997 and while waiting for that process got married, ran my own business and we had our daughter. Finally got our green cards and made the big move to New York, USA in 2002. Built a new life in a new country with a few bumps along the way and had our son in 2005. In 2005 we made the move to Bloomington, IL where we now live. I started a new career as a performance development engineer with Caterpillar in July 2008 - me, the guy who "bunked" many a class.
